Theos Duhon has been in Law Enforcement for 38 years. He first started his tour of duty with the Calcasieu Sheriff's Department. He served 10 years there and moved to Cameron Parish. After serving 8 years as a Deputy for Cameron, he was appointed to the position of Chief Deputy. In 2004, he was elected to the position of Sheriff and is currently serving a second term. His administration currently has 73 full time employees.
Sheriff Duhon has received training at the Louisiana State University's Basic Training Academy, Louisiana Sheriff's Institute, Louisiana State University's Law Enforcement Institute, and received numerous other training certificates.
The Sheriff is also affiliated with the Louisiana Sheriff's Association, Lyons Club, Council on Aging, and the Action Alliance Committee.
